Powered by the super reliable and efficient Jebao DC pumps with pinwheel impeller. You know you can trust them to run trouble-free for years. The Jebao DC pumps include 8 power/flow settings. This allows additional tuning of the skimmer and permits use in a wider range of water levels than a typical skimmer. The Jebao DC pumps also have a feed-mode button, allowing the skimmer to be turned off for a period of 10 minutes during coral feeding. After 10 minutes the skimmer pump will automatically start up again.

The cone body produces a smooth efficient water column for stable bubble and skimmate production. A well designed bubble plate further enhances performance buy reducing turbulence as the air enters the skimmer body. A unique dual intake silencer reduces the vacuum suction noise created by the venturi suction of the DC skimmer pump for quiet operation.

Skimmer cleaning is made easy with a design that allows for quick disassembly of the skimmer.

Water level is easily adjusted with a precision gate valve assembly on the skimmer discharge. The adjustment dial is elevated well above water level allowing you to keep your hands dry.

    Hello guys, I just wanted to drop a line and give you my opinion on the CoralBox DC500 Protein Skimmer. I have had it running now for about 1 week and I must say that I am very impressed with it. The packaging and wrapping to protect the parts during shipping, the quality components and the way it works is great. Within an hour and a half this skimmer was producing skimmate and I found just minor adjustment to the outflow knob were needed to dial it in over the next day or so were all that were needed. The 1 part sheet of the instructions that were included were really not needed to assemble the unit as a couple of minutes studying it will pretty much allow you to put it all together easily.

    I would highly recommend the CoralBox DC500.
